Current Featured Race.
On April 28 the NORRA Mexican 1000 Offroad Race starts in Mexicali, passing through San Felipe on April 29 and aiming for San Jose del Cabo to finish on the 2nd of May.
Started in 1967 and described as “The Happiest Race on Earth” this race is put on by the National Off Road Racing Association. In the four days that it is run, racers cover 1,100 miles and race vehicles range from vintage off-road cars to rally vehicles, buggies, motorcycles, ATV’s, and desert racecars. As long as your vehicle meets the safety standards, you can enter and take part in this race. Early registration ends April 15th.
This race, reaching all the way down the Baja, promises beautiful Baja vistas, fun times with other racers, and a great chance to explore and have an adventure in Baja.

Early registration closes and any remaining rooms in LA Bay are released to teams. Entries not paid in full by this date will be subjected to a $100 late registration fee.
April 28, 2012>>
Sign in, technical and safety inspection, vintage category impound (car show) and autograph session in the bull ring in Mexicali. Vintage cars will be released from impound in the late afternoon (Vintage impound is a mandatory media event for entries in the Vintage categories). All competitors must sign the release of liability in order to receive the wristband. Wristbands must be shown at the start of each Special Stage throughout the event.
